Installing LED modules in a channel letter is as simple as peeling film
off mounting tape and firmly pressing modules into position. Note:
Surface should be clean, dry, and oil-free.
Tools Required
Wire Stripper/Crimper
Drill With 1/2" Bit
Optional: Caulking Gun (if you intend to silicon LED modules)
Materials You Will Need
18 AWG Stranded Wire
Splice or Butt Connectors
1/2" Neoprene Bushings
Fasteners for Power Supply
Optional: Silicon Sealant
Determining How Many and Where LED Modules Should Be Placed
Our LED modules are designed to cover a stroke width of 4" in a channel letter with a depth of 4" to 8". Therefore, letters with a stroke of 4" should require a single row of LED modules.
In 5" to 6" letters LED modules may be staggered.
6" to 8" letters require 2 rows of LED modules.
9" to 12" letters require 3 rows of LED modules.
The actual number of rows may vary depending upon the font used. You may email us your layout and we will calculate required materials for the job. It's really easy!
Note: A small bead of 100% silicon sealant (we prefer clear) may be applied between the side of the LED module and the back surface of the letter. We highly recommend doing this as it takes very little time and material and ensures a maximum bond.

Once LED modules are installed the secondary output from the power supply may be connected.
Letters can be connected to power supply in parallel using butt connectors. Be sure to cap off open end of rows.

Note: All LED modules operate on 12VDC. All color modules can be connected to the same power supply. Colors can be mixed on the same power supply. Different colors can be connected to the same power supply and mixed on the same power supply output.
